Safeguarding All of God's Family
The goal of the "Safeguarding All of God's Family" program of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is to protect our children and all in the church family from sexual abuse and related dangers. Compliance with this directive is closely monitored by the archdiocese. Please help us stay in compliance by attending a session if you volunteer.
In compliance with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, St. John the Baptist requires that all volunteers working with children (church or school) complete the Safeguarding All God’s Family program before they begin their volunteer service.
We strongly encourage all parents to participate in the Safeguarding program. We want you to be an active participant in your child’s education and school community. Our school is dependent on and enhanced by volunteers. Contact Lisa Schoneman with questions at (920) 892-4006.
Preregistration is required.
All participants must arrive on time and stay for the entire session. Latecomers will not be admitted and those who leave early will not receive credit for attendance.
Safe Environment Education sessions are not appropriate for those under the age of 18 and out of High School. Please do not bring your underage children unless the location specifies that child care is provided.

Who is required to attend one of these sessions?
All paid personnel, whether employed in areas of ministry or other kinds of services provided by the Archdiocese, its parishes, schools or other agencies are required to attend. With regard to volunteers, the program requires that anyone who enters into ministry (service), which involves contact with children and young people, participate in the program. As of September 2008, volunteer background checks and training must be completed before beginning volunteer service.
